Description
This is my watercolor painting of the UC Davis Arboretum. On a blustery winter day in early February, I went on an Arboretum hike led by Marie Z with the Sacramento Baby Boomers Singles meetup group. The 100 acre Davis Arboretum is along the banks of the old north channel of Putah Creek on the south side of the University of California, Davis campus in Yolo County, California. The arboretum was founded in 1936 and is free to visit. The gardens are open 24 hours a day every day of the year. The Arboretum contains a 3.5 miles paved path loop for pedestrians. The collection includes some 22,000 trees and plants adapted to a Mediterranean climate. The arboretum is used for research and teaching by UC Davis.
This 15” X 22” painting was done on Fabriano, 140 lb, rough paper.

Thanks Xueling. I see from your plein air paintings you're familiar with Sunnyvale. My career was working for the City of Sunnyvale. Now I'm retired and in Georgia.
