Description
On an art field trip to a home on a large lot in Hoschton, Georgia, we were greeted by a continuously barking dog. [Hoschton is one of several Georgia towns that is often mispronounced, it is pronounced Hoosh (like push) ā tun.] The owner came out to greet us and told the dog to be quiet repeatedly. Still every person or car in the vicinity that moved would trigger more barking. Iām pretty sure the dog considered it a full time job to let us know about territorial incursions. Eventually, he ran out of steam and he took a nap on the sunny driveway. There was plenty of space for us to put our cars by the driveway, what you would expect for a barking lot.
This 11ā X 15ā watercolor is on Arches, 140 lb., rough paper.
