Artist's Description
A bit of Italy in Roseville, California. This building in the Italian Renaissance style was built in 1927 and acquired by the Bank of Italy. The Bank of Italy was founded in San Francisco, California on October 17, 1904 by Amadeo P. Giannini. Giannini changed the name "Bank of Italy" to "Bank of America" in 1930. The building has an historic marker for the Bank of Italy Building, although it is not the original Bank of Italy building located in San Francisco which opened in 1908.
