Artist's Description

My watercolor painting of a bird in flight. I spotted this Black-Chinned Hummingbird in my back yard. For most of the year there are some blossoming flowers for them to get food here. This one was checking out my camellias. It took a few photos but I finally got one that shows the wings during flight clear enough to paint. Every year I have two to four nests a year for the last five years. My place in Roseville, California, is like a hummingbird factory. For the Isolation Art Challenge group with 60 Themes for 60 Days, this was Day 24 Flight.

This 12” X 16” watercolor was painted on Arches, 140 lb, cold press paper.
