Product Details

Our spiral notebooks are 6" x 8" in size and include 120 pages which are lined on both sides. The artwork is printed on the front cover which is made of thick paper stock, and the back cover is medium gray in color. The inside of the back cover includes a pocket for storing extra paper and pens.

Artist's Description

This is a night scene painting of Lincoln Way at High Street in Auburn, California, during an Art Walk event. My second watercolor evening painting.

When I participate in the big annual Placer Artists Studio Tour, I can’t leave my home studio site and see other artists that are also on the tour, so this is one venue where I can do that. Just before taking a reference photo of this intersection I just visited with these studio tour artists; Sean Bonito (graphite drawing), Janet Paehig (Jewelry), Pamela Albright (watercolor), Mary Chris Hines (collage), Gia McNutt (acrylic), and many others. During the Art Walk you can see some of their artwork but at the annual Studio Tour, you can see all of their art.

This year the Auburn Arts Commission sponsored the Auburn Art Walk this year. In years past, Placer Arts sponsored the event. The Auburn Art Walk is a reception to showcase the artists who display their work in participating businesses. It occurs in Downtown,...

My search to find my biological family was the genesis of my journey into the world of art. When I finally found my birth family, at the age of 40, I was plunged into a new and very different family. On one occasion while talking with the father I had never known, I discovered that my great uncle was the renowned watercolorist Dong Kingman. Fatefully discovering a cheap watercolor paint set, and intrigued by my relationship with Kingman, I wondered if I had inherited any of his talent. This lingering question spurred me into trying to paint. My first challenge was deciding what subjects I would paint.
