Artist's Description

What struck me about the scene at the time I was walking on the headlands was the yellow reddish hue on the rocky cliffs and the odd mounds that popped upright from the level beach. The color was a combination of the angle of the sun and the mineral composition of the bluffs.

As described online, "Pudding Creek is one of the most scenic beaches on the Mendocino Coast, and a stunning place to watch the sun set. Located at the north end of Fort Bragg, this beach is a favorite among locals and visitors alike. The beach features bountiful tide pools to explore at low tide, great rocks to climb, and some beautiful sandy dunes for sunbathing."

This was painted in transparent watercolor.
