Artist's Description

In the early 90's, I took the family down to Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, California. We watched the animal shows. After the show a handler let us see a squirrel monkey up close nibbling on a treat. I painted two paintings of that monkey, this the second one. This painting is the 59th painting I've done in my early learning period in the 90's. All my paintings are numbered and that number is sequential. Painting #191 is when I restarted painting after a long absence, even though that painting was half done and started in the 90's. I still have painting #1 in my art room and will never sell that.

This painting was done in transparent watercolor. It took several layers of black to get that black background.
