Challenge your brain with a jigsaw puzzle designed by an independent artist!   Our puzzles are made from premium 0.2" thick paper stock and include a semi-gloss coating on the top surface to make the image pop.   Puzzles are available in two different sizes, and each puzzle includes a puzzle box with the artwork printed on the top for safe storage when you're not puzzling.   The puzzle pieces are unique shapes.

Artist's Description

McRae Block or the McRae Opera house, never had an opera. In the early 1900’s, a town without an Opera House was not considered a proper town. Alexander Bell McRae decided to move his house three blocks from where it stood, at the corner of Lincoln and Main Streets, to build a first-class building that would be deemed Roseville’s Opera House. The building was completed in 1908, and many events have taken place in the upstairs portion of the building, live theater, a roller-skating rink, semi pro boxing matches, and even the local newspaper operated out of the upstairs, but there has never been an opera. The lower portion housed the McRae insurance offices, the Piggley Wiggley grocery store, Roseville’s first newspaper – Roseville Register, and the Post Office (1914-1924). A few doors away is the Onyx Club which opened in 1936.

In 2012, the Opera House Saloon moved in the renovated building and is still there today. The second floor is used for dancing and live music...

My search to find my biological family was the genesis of my journey into the world of art. When I finally found my birth family, at the age of 40, I was plunged into a new and very different family. On one occasion while talking with the father I had never known, I discovered that my great uncle was the renowned watercolorist Dong Kingman. Fatefully discovering a cheap watercolor paint set, and intrigued by my relationship with Kingman, I wondered if I had inherited any of his talent. This lingering question spurred me into trying to paint. My first challenge was deciding what subjects I would paint.
