The Center for Disease Control has recommended the use of cloth face masks to help fight the spread of COVID-19.
This face mask is made from 100% polyester and includes two ear loops with adjustable grommets for a comfortable fit.
The printed area of the mask is approximately 7" wide by 5" tall. This mask fits well on adult mens' faces without the grommets but, due to the adjustable grommets, can be worn snuggly by adult women, as well.
Please note - this is NOT a surgical grade mask. It is not intended for any medical or commercial uses, whatsoever. It is a simple, cloth mask designed for everyday use to cover your mouth when out in public. The mask should not be used in any medical or surgical setting.

I visited the Horton Iris Garden in Loomis, CA off of King Road. The garden is open to the public only in April and May. Mary Ann Horton now has over 1,300 varieties of irises. She started with a few irises back in 2003.
This painting is "Encore" not because of the iris type but because of a mistake. I grabbed the wrong reference photo and sketched out this painting. Only to realize that I already painted this, see #289. Instead of erasing it and starting all over again, I decided to paint it anyway. This was twice the size of the original and on a different type of paper, but I wanted to experiment with using ink for the darker and more colorful parts to see what difference it makes. I think despite the change in media, it is very similar, perhaps a bit more contrast. You be the judge.
This watercolor and ink (mixed media) painting was done on Winsor Newton paper, rough, 140 lb and is 15" X 22" in size.
My search to find my biological family was the genesis of my journey into the world of art. When I finally found my birth family, at the age of 40, I was plunged into a new and very different family. On one occasion while talking with the father I had never known, I discovered that my great uncle was the renowned watercolorist Dong Kingman. Fatefully discovering a cheap watercolor paint set, and intrigued by my relationship with Kingman, I wondered if I had inherited any of his talent.
