Our spiral notebooks are 6" x 8" in size and include 120 pages which are lined on both sides. The artwork is printed on the front cover which is made of thick paper stock, and the back cover is medium gray in color. The inside of the back cover includes a pocket for storing extra paper and pens.

Anyone who has traveled the Highway 80 corridor over the years couldn’t possibly help but notice the shining dome of the beautiful Placer County Courthouse which stands like a proud gatekeeper to the city of Auburn. In 1891, Placer County released a bid award to John M. Curtis to build a new 3 story masonry building similar to the ones he had designed and built for San Francisco, Santa Cruz and Sonoma County. The 300 lb. steel bell, had traveled around the Cape Horn in 1859 The finished cost for the project would total a staggering $172,583, a large commitment of public funds at that time.
In 1982, a group of citizens formed the “Placer County Committee to Preserve the Courthouse for Courts,” and through grants and outside donations amassed over $3 million. This, coupled with additional funding, led to its first modern day restoration project which lasted from 1986 to 1990.

My search to find my biological family was the genesis of my journey into the world of art. When I finally found my birth family, at the age of 40, I was plunged into a new and very different family. On one occasion while talking with the father I had never known, I discovered that my great uncle was the renowned watercolorist Dong Kingman. Fatefully discovering a cheap watercolor paint set, and intrigued by my relationship with Kingman, I wondered if I had inherited any of his talent.
