Artist's Description

The historic downtown area of Lincoln, California, is a great place to walk around and absorb the more than 150 year history. This is a watercolor painting of the Lincoln Area Archives and Museum at 472 E Street.

In front of the building is Beerman's Plaza also known as the Lincoln Town Square is an outdoor location in the heart of downtown Lincoln. Fritz Beerman and his son, Charles, came to Lincoln in 1880 and worked together in the harness and saddle shop at 5th and F Streets. Charles served as Lincoln's Town Treasurer after the election of 1892.

This watercolor was done on a 15" X 22", 140 lb, cold press, Kilimanjaro watercolor paper.
