Description
The intersection of Corin Drive at Hayden Parkway. There are only two ways to get to my house and this intersection is the most likely path if you're using GPS. The intersection is four blocks away from my home. I think it is the prettiest intersection in the neighborhood. The foliage and flowers change with the seasons but the Blue Oaks on the left are more constant in appearance on a higher mound.
As the street curves to the left there is a driveway on the right which leads to the original Corin home, that the street is named after. The two story house sits back in the Oak woodland area which eventually will become a regional park with trails. Russel and Cora Fiddyment's daughter, Cora Lee married Earl Corin. Which is the connection to the historic 1879 Fiddyment homestead less than 1 mile from this location. The Fiddyment family land is the foundation upon which Roseville was built.
This painting was done with watercolor and ink.
